Here is some information about me:
I am excited to return to teaching in a grade level classroom! Some of you may recognize me as the English Teacher from your first grade or kindergarten years at Burns Park, especially if you had Mrs. Roderique, Mrs. Steward, Mrs. Ambrosino or Mrs. Chappuis, where I regularly came to classes to help students. Before I taught K-5 English, I taught in 1st, 2nd, and 3rdgrades in Livonia, Minnesota, Brazil, and Kuwait. Before that, I student taught in Mrs. Wall’s 4th grade classroom in Room 302, 12 years ago. My favorite sport is soccer. My favorite flavors of ice cream are cookies and cream, pistachio, vanilla, fudge marble, and chocolate chip. I like to study foreign languages and be outdoors.
The students in Room 304 are:
Adeline, Adella, Ah’shay, Amelie, Amyira, Anya, Ashman, Ayush, Brody, Cedric, Ceyne, Christian, Emelia, Emilia, Isabella, Joseph, Julia, Kate, Luciano, Lucinda, Lulu, Maya, Maisa, Marie, Nick, Reda.
If your child goes by a name that is different from the one listed above, please let me know.
How to contact me:
If your child might require help to get to an after-school meeting point, please let me know.
We will do beginning of year math assessments in the first week of school to set a baseline for determining a year’s growth, mathematical strengths, and most appropriate instruction. Reading assessments will take most of September. Students will choose into a reading group for September.
Birthdays: We will sing happy birthday songs (unless the birthday person requests that we don’t sing) and there will be special privileges throughout the day. Is there a favorite 10-minute game in your family? Would you like to show us how it works? A family member can visit to help. Does the birthday child have a quick 10-minute or less talent to show? Please contact me at one week ahead to tell me:
